This creative basket begins on a wooden base and invites you to weave willow while incorporating found objects or meaningful pieces – a feather picked up on a walk, colourful yarn, beads, or other small treasures. You’ll learn essential willow weaving techniques while creating a basket that is expressive, personal, and uniquely your own, blending natural materials with story and meaning. All tools are provided for this class, as well as willow and a few found items. Participants are encouraged to bring items to add to their baskets – yarn, roving, beads, fabric, etc.
