Wet Felted Holiday Trees

During this one day workshop students will create a wet felted holiday tree. This class teaches participants the process of wet felt making using a resist to create a 3D cone shape. The class is suitable for all levels of felt makers. Beginners too!

Participants will learn how to layout wool fibers, felt and full the wool to create a well felted sturdy tree that can be embellished with stitch, ornaments, lights, etc.

Each participant will take home a finished tree complete with a stand and lights.

Materials to make one holiday tree will be provided by the instructors.

  • Wool roving

  • Embellishment fibers

  • Plastic resist

  • Bubble wrap

  • Wooden tree stand

  • String of mini tree lights

Instructors Biography

Linda Cameron is an experienced educator (B.ED and diploma in art and design), felt maker and textile artist. She has a passion for all things related to textiles.

Cheryl Weighill is an experienced educator (B.ED, M.ED), City and Guild accredited Felt maker, and Creative textile artist/maker. She too has a passion for all things related to textiles.
