Intro to Indigo

This workshop is beginner level dyeing.   If you’ve not yet experienced the wonders of indigo dyeing, this class is for you.   Participants will the learn basic steps to making a natural indigo vat and the indigo dyeing process.   There will be a short amount of time to create unique resists before dipping the fiber into the vats for a medium shade of blue.  Each will be provided with a large cotton shawl and one tea towel for dyeing.

Participants need to show up dressed appropriately for dyeing and will need to bring a pair of new rubber gloves (the kind that go up well beyond the wrist)
